The Global Trade Leaders Club, with its nearly 7500 members in 95 countries around the world, is a combination of leading companies in the industry and service sector for the development of trade globally. The club gives two separate awards in Gastronomy every year and brings the industry and the service sector together in this organization. The award in the industry sector is the 'International Food and Beverage Quality Award', and the award in the service sector is the 'International Hotel and Restaurant Quality Award' in which Saydanlar Kanaat Lokantası is the winner in 2017 in Turkey.

The award aims to increase the recognition of the awarded companies in their regions and countries to promote their work, commitment, innovation, and quality to develop industry and trade in their countries. The award winner is a great opportunity for companies and offers them an effective tool for their promotional and marketing campaigns. Indeed, being awarded by the Leaders of Global Trade allows a company to become part of an international trade organization with excellent communication channels to promote its brand.

The selection process for companies deserving the award is based on suggestions from prominent club members in industry and service sectors around the world, and the outcome of the member's selection process is confidential to avoid creating a sense of comparative agreement with other companies. At the same time, the exact sources of recommendations promoting award-winning companies are not disclosed to respect the confidentiality required by members of the Global Trade Leaders Club, in which they expressly have discretion. The final decision to award the award to companies is made taking into account information obtained through international experts in the fields of marketing and corporate communications, who manage a wide variety of public and private information sources such as Chambers of Commerce, Embassies Commercial Bureaus.

This award was given to Ankara Trilye Restaurant in 2014 for the first time in Turkey. Then in 2016, it was given to Burfaş Food & Beverage company, which is a subsidiary of Bursa Municipality.
